Coming up we have a featherweight kickboxing rules bout between Kung Fu Master (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Bird (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Master comes into the arena with Shaolin Monastic chanting blaring out of the sound system. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kung Fu Master! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
24 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, William Bird! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Ren Mimura and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bird tries to move into range but Master moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Some wild striking there from Bird.
Kung Fu Master seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Master motions for Bird to come forward. Master throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Master looks for the body kick but Bird saw that one coming. Bird thows a body shot but no joy. Bird throws a nice inside leg kick. Bird moves away from the strike by Master. Master dips to his left and cracks Bird with an uppercut! Bird misses the shot to the body. Bird keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bird dodges the punch combination from Master.
A punch lands to the side of Master 's head but he takes it in his stride. Master keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bird blocks a jab. Master lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Master chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Bird wants to clinch up but Master keeps it at a distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Master throws a head kick that misses. Master looks to land a body kick but Bird moved away. Master scoring well with a low kick there.
No joy there for Master, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bird avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Master tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Bird moves out of range of the strikes. A looping hook to the body misses from Master. Bird does a little dance to reset his feet. Master throws the kick towards the body but Bird avoids it. Bird swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bird cracks Master with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Master throws a head kick that misses. Bird tries to land a front kick but Master steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Bird scores with a punch to the head. Master throws a head kick that misses. Bird feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Master's calf.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bird works the jab nicely. Master tests Bird's chin there with a solid looking shot. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bird fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Master is out of range. Master keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bird scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Master lands a nice leg kick that just misses Bird's sensitive parts. Master stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Bird. Bird keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Master wants to slow Bird down by chopping away at his legs. Master connects with a leg kick. Bird looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Master throws a combination that misses and Bird counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Bird. Bird creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Master looking to stall.
Bird is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Bird landing some nice looking knees to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Bird scores with a shoulder strike. Master throws a punch but it's blocked by Bird. Master takes an elbow to the temple. Bird lands a nice elbow. Master tries to break free but Bird pushes him back against the ropes. Master wants to break free but Bird has control.
Bird lands with a short shot to the head. Bird lands a knee to the head.
It looks like Kung Fu Master has been cut. Bird connects with a knee to the head.
Bird lands a shoulder strike. With the two fighters working up against the ropes, Bird just misses with a elbow thrown towards Master's brow. Bird blocks a body shot from Master. Bird throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Masters head. Bird lands with a short shot to the head. Master is trying to break the clinch but Bird has him pressed against the ropes. A head punch blocked on the inside by Bird. Master lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Bird backwards. Master escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
That's four minutes gone in the round. No joy there for Bird, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bird feints and then cracks Master's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Master down. Master lands a head kick. Bird smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Bird moves into the clinch successfully.
Master takes a knee right on the jaw!
Master tries to stall but Bird uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Master has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Bird breaks from the clinch.
Master slips a jab from Bird. Bird ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Master tries to land a leg kick but Bird saw it coming and moves away.
A good leg kick by Master. Master misses with a straight left. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Bird throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Master. Bird misses the shot to the body. Master takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Bird.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
William Bird dominated that round. The cut man is working on Kung Fu Master's cut. That's time! Master's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Master lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Bird looks to land a right hand but Master moved out of range. Bird on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Master looks to throw the jab but Bird is out of range. Master swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Master misses with a body kick. A low kick from Master is predictable there and Bird moves into the clinch. Master stalling in the clinch but Bird improves position. Bird comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Bird creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Master's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! A frustrated look appears on Master's face as he tries to break the clinch. Master breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Bird scoring well with a low kick there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice body kick there by Master. Bird lands a nice shot to the body.
Master throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Bird counters by clinching up. William Bird seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Bird digs a right hand into Master's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Master's gas tank. Master is trying to break free. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Master. Bird manages to break the clinch.
Bird slips under a jab from Master. Bird throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Master stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Master misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bird scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Master takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Master clobbers Bird with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Master tried to score with a low kick but Bird checks it. Master looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Master with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Bird to score with a decent uppercut. Master scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Master looks to score with a jab to the body but Bird is just out of range. Master stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Bird. Master throws a sloppy body shot
and Bird counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Master throws an elbow but it misses.

Kung Fu Master's cut is getting worse. Bird lands an uppercut. Master working hard to break the clinch. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Bird tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Kung Fu Master's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Bird slows down the pace here.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Kung Fu Master's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). William Bird! William Bird retains his featherweight title! In his post fight interview, William Bird gave a big smile as he said 'I am the greatest KT fighter of all time! There is noone in 135 to 155 lbs that even come close to my level. If you disagree, I welcome you into the ring where you will receive a fistful of pain!'. In defeat, Kung Fu Master stepped up to the mic, saying 'There's no way I lost fair, He must have cheated! I am unbeatable! '.
