Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Caleb Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Hogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paul Hogan has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Caleb Thomas's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Caleb Thomas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Paul Hogan! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Michael Johnstone and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thomas walks into a jab. Thomas fails to land the takedown. Thomas tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Hogan digs a good body shot into Thomas's ribs. Hogan lands with an overhand left. Thomas on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Hogan moves into the clinch. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Hogan has eaten all the pies! Thomas tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hogan smiles and moves away.
Hogan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Thomas, pushing him back against the cage. Thomas tries to circle away but Hogan has him pinned against the cage. Hogan lands a damaging elbow. Thomas is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Hogan has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Thomas is trying to keep an underhook but Hogan manages to get the takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Hogan decides to stand up. Thomas takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Thomas fails in his attempt to clinch. Hogan has taken the fight to the clinch.
Thomas is trying to pull guard but Hogan has him pressed against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Caleb Thomas. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hogan pulls guard. Hogan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Hogan decides to stand and escape the position. Thomas is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Hogan sizes up Thomas with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Hogan lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Thomas takes a swing at Hogan's ribcage but misses. This has been an exciting period of action! Thomas changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hogan tries to avoid it but Thomas manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hogan to the ground. Hogan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. No luck for Thomas with that takedown attempt. No luck for Thomas with that takedown attempt. Hogan connects with a high kick. Hogan lands a head shot. Hogan closes the distance and clinches. Thomas tries to pull guard but Hogan forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Thomas tries to break the clinch but Hogan is controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hogan slows down the pace here.
Thomas has Hogan pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hogan manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Hogan wants the takedown. Thomas is fighting it off but Hogan persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Thomas's guard against the cage. Hogan gets to his feet. Thomas looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Thomas misses with a takedown and Hogan decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Thomas's guard. Thomas is breathing heavily. Thomas is working an open guard so Hogan takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Thomas dives in and grabs Hogan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hogan pushes down on Thomas's head and hops out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hogan jabs Thomas right on the nose. Thomas blinks but takes it well. Hogan closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Thomas quickly recovers to half guard. Hogan decides to return to a standing position. Thomas tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hogan swats him away and circles back towards the center. Thomas tries to clinch up but Hogan circles away and keeps his distance. Hogan is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Thomas had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Hogan decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Hogan decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Thomas gets tackled into the cage by Hogan. Hogan maintains the clinch. Thomas can't break the clinch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Hogan lands a left hand that snaps the head of Thomas backwards. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Thomas is looking to break free of the clinch but Hogan has double underhooks. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paul Hogan dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Thomas tries to clinch but Hogan is having none of it. Thomas shoots for a takedown but Hogan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. The fight moves into the clinch position. Thomas stalling in the clinch but Hogan improves position. Hogan pushes Thomas back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Hogan creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Thomas's defenses. Hogan stalls. Thomas tries to stall but Hogan uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
That's one minute gone in the round. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Hogan takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Hogan continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up. Hogan works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Hogan prevents Thomas from breaking the clinch. Thomas wants to stall.
Thomas can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight. Hogan creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Thomas's defenses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Thomas goes for a takedown in the clinch but Hogan prevents it.
Hogan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hogan gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Hogan throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Thomass head. Thomas is trying to pull guard but Hogan turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Caleb Thomas. That's going to take a lot out of him. Thomas is trying to break free. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Thomas is trying to drag Hogan to the mat but Hogan just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Hogan is trying to trip Thomas. He has hold of a leg but Thomas is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Hogan persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Thomas looking for a guillotine here but Hogan defends easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Thomas working a defensive guard here.
Hogan stands up from guard. Let's bang! Thomas misses with a low kick.
Hogan comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Thomas misses with a head kick.
Thomas has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Hogan closes the distance and clinches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hogan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Hogan slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Thomas takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Paul Hogan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hogan keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
A combination from Hogan does no damage. Hogan shoots in and bounces Thomas off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hogan gets to his feet - Thomas follows without any prompting. Hogan closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hogan blocks the elbow strike.

Paul Hogan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Thomas fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hogan avoids it really well and circles away. Hogan might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Thomas fails with a takedown attempt from distance. A jab from Hogan does it's job there. Thomas throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Hogan's head.
It looks like Paul Hogan has been cut. Hogan shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Hogan decides to stand up. Thomas tries to keep at a distance but Hogan has taken the fight into the clinch. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Thomas looking to slow down the pace here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hogan is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Hogan has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Hogan pulls guard effortlessly. Thomas won't allow Hogan to sweep him here. Hogan is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Hogan pushes a forearm under Thomas's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Thomas is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
