Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tito Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drew Peacock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hall comes to the cage accompanied by Metallica-Nothing else matters . Peacock is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Bring The Noise by Public Enemy & Anthrax. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tito Hall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Drew Peacock! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peacock throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Nice shot by Peacock. Drew Peacock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hall takes one on the button. Peacock throws a body punch but Hall moves out of range. Peacock works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Peacock has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Peacock throws a hook but Hall avoids it easily. Peacock gets caught napping as Hall dives in and scores a takedown. Peacock manages to retain guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Hall has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Peacock is proving hard to escape from. Peacock is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Peacock stalling.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Drew Peacock wasn't active enough on the ground. Peacock pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Peacock wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Peacock lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Hall has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Peacock. Hall is breathing heavily. Hall takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
It looks like Tito Hall has been cut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Peacock cracks a nice hook into Hall's ribs. Peacock ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Hall on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Peacock. Peacock obviously looking to wear him down.
A shot to the liver by Peacock. Beautiful body shot. Hall checks a low kick from Peacock. Peacock connects with a jab. Hall doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Peacock moves into the clinch. Peacock displaying some good clinch control by pressing Hall up against the cage. Nice body punch from Peacock - that landed with a thud.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Peacock throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Halls head. Hall takes a shot to the head. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Peacock. Peacock lands a right hand that snaps the head of Hall backwards. Nice body punch from Peacock - that landed with a thud.
Peacock lands with a short shot to the head. Peacock digs a right hand underneath Hall's ribcage. Hall let out a lung full of air as it connected. A nice right hand lands inside from Peacock. Peacock scores with a shot to the side of Hall's head. Peacock pushes Hall back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Peacock scores with an uppercut up the middle. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Peacock takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Peacock digs a right hand into Hall's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Hall's gas tank. Peacock lands with a right to the head. Peacock lands a nice uppercut. Peacock lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Peacock lands an uppercut. Peacock works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Peacock manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Peacock is working Hall over against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Drew Peacock dominated that round. The cut man is working on Tito Hall's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Peacock cracks Hall with a hook to the temple - Hall is on wobbly legs here! Peacock swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Hall falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Peacock wins by TKO!
