Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alex Jeferson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyrone Woodley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Alex Jeferson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Tyrone Woodley! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Sam Margolis and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jeferson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Woodley avoids it really well and circles away. Jeferson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Woodley.
Jeferson shoots in but Woodley avoids the takedown attempt easily. Jeferson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Jeferson throwing strikes but missing. Jeferson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Jeferson won't allow Woodley to get back to his feet. Woodley has momentary wrist control but Jeferson slips an elbow through the middle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jeferson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Woodley is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Jeferson scores with a decent looking elbow strike. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jeferson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Jeferson throwing strikes but missing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jeferson throwing strikes from guard but Woodley blocks nicely. Jeferson missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Jeferson throwing strikes but missing. Jeferson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Woodley wriggles free and stands up. Jeferson looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Jeferson dives in and grabs Woodley's left leg, looking for a takedown. Woodley pushes down on Jeferson's head and hops out. Jeferson seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alex Jeferson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Woodley lands the left hand. Woodley misses with a straight left. Woodley looks to score with a jab to the body but Jeferson is just out of range. Jeferson misses with a takedown and Woodley connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Jeferson takes one to the chin there. Jeferson has a takedown stuffed. Woodley shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Woodley stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Jeferson to get to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jeferson takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Woodley lands a jab. Woodley shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Jeferson eats them both and turns towards Woodley to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Jab, jab by Woodley - just one landing. Woodley lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Jeferson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Woodley looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. We've been informed that Woodley has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Jeferson tries to move into full mount but can't pass Woodley's legs. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Alex Jeferson will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Woodley thows a left - swing and a miss! Woodley cracks a nice hook into Jeferson's ribs. Jeferson staying out of range there. Woodley throws out a loose jab but Jeferson uses good head movement to avoid it. Alex Jeferson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jeferson gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Jeferson looks for a takedown but Woodley sprawls well. The fighters circle momentarily. Woodley darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Woodley changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jeferson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Woodley trying to control the action but Jeferson is working from the bottom. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Woodley. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Woodley looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Jeferson is avoiding damage well.
Jeferson is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Woodley has just dragged him back down to the mat. Jeferson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jeferson tries to get out of the position. Woodley swings around for an armbar but Jeferson sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Woodley's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Woodley wants to get back to his feet but Jeferson is in a dominant position and won't allow it. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Jeferson wants to pass the guard but Woodley is keeping the position.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Tyrone Woodley hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Woodley scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Jeferson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Woodley connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Jeferson scrambles back to his feet. Jeferson goes for a double leg but Woodley avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Woodley continues to drive forward. Jeferson drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Woodley gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alex Jeferson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Woodley is trying to drag Jeferson to the mat but Jeferson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Woodley is fighting off a takedown attempt but Jeferson is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Woodley to the mat. Woodley regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Woodley is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jeferson is controlling him. Woodley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jeferson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Woodley preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Tyrone Woodley will probably get the nod - 10:9. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
The fight stays on the outside here - Woodley looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Jeferson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Woodley. A punch combination from Woodley misses. Woodley wants to slow Jeferson down by chopping away at his legs. Jeferson has a takedown stuffed. Woodley will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Woodley leaves Jeferson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Jeferson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Woodley's waist but Woodley gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jeferson off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alex Jeferson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Woodley drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sloppy strikes there by Woodley. Woodley trying to control the action but Jeferson is working from the bottom. Jeferson lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Woodley wants to get back to his feet.
