Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alex Jeferson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyrone Woodley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jeferson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Woodley avoids it really well and circles away.
Jeferson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Woodley.
Jeferson shoots in but Woodley avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Jeferson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Woodley shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Jeferson eats them both and turns towards Woodley to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Woodley lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Jeferson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Woodley looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We've been informed that Woodley has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Alex Jeferson will probably get the nod.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Tyrone Woodley hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Woodley scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Jeferson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Woodley connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Jeferson scrambles back to his feet.
