Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Norberto Orozco! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sombat Banchamek! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Orozco wants to clinch. Banchamek tries to clinch up. Banchamek connects with a good right hand that stumbles Orozco. Orozco circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Banchamek thuds a left hand into Orozco's body. Banchamek gets caught flat footed, as Orozco shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Banchamek has a closed guard, preventing Orozco from standing up. Banchamek is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Orozco is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Orozco trying to stand up but can't free himself from Banchamek's guard. Orozco looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

We're going to have a standup here because Norberto Orozco wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Orozco throws a low kick but Banchamek avoids it. Orozco looking to score a takedown here. Banchamek is defending well but Orozco drives through and ends up in Banchamek's guard. Banchamek is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Orozco is stalling in the full guard. Banchamek is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Orozco stays in close to Banchamek's body and controls the position. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Norberto Orozco has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Banchamek tries to keep at a distance but Orozco has taken the fight into the clinch. Banchamek misses with some punches.
Orozco tries to land knees in the clinch but Banchamek avoids the damage to the body. Orozco drags the fight down to the ground.
Orozco keeping moving, preventing Banchamek from controlling successfully. Orozco bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Banchamek's guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Orozco sitting in guard here, content to control. Banchamek wants to sweep but no luck. Banchamek is trying to control the position but Orozco postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Banchamek is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Norberto Orozco wasn't doing enough on the ground. Banchamek is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Orozco scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Banchamek wants to get back to his feet. Banchamek has hold of Orozco's hands but Orozco slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Banchamek is looking to get back to full guard here but Orozco has managed to pass to side control instead. Orozco controls the position from side control. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Banchamek tries to buck Orozco off but Orozco is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee asks Orozco politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Orozco prefers to stall for the moment though. Banchamek struggling a bit here. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Orozco tries to close the distance and clinch up but Banchamek swats him away and circles back towards the center. Banchamek loads up on a big right hand but Orozco slips the punch. Orozco moves into the clinch. Orozco blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Orozco has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Banchamek uses from the top position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Orozco looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Banchamek is defending well. Orozco quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Banchamek has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Orozco celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
