The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Davids tries to clinch up but Cromoljenko circles away and keeps his distance.
Davids fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cromoljenko sprawls well initially but Davids persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Davids connects with a nice short shot to Cromoljenko's temple.

Cromoljenko's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Davids is holding on here and Cromoljenko must be using up a lot of energy. Davids has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Cromoljenko gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
