Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hassan Mason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aldo is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Jay Z - Run This Town. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aldo closes the distance and clinches.
Aldo misses with a short punch on the inside.

Mason successfully pulls guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Aldo is looking to work some ground and pound but Mason has wrist control.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Mason holds on and takes a little breather.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Hassan Mason.

Aldo has managed to clinch.

Aldo fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mason, pushing him back against the cage.

Aldo stands up and waves to Mason to follow him.
Mason closes this distance looking for a takedown but Aldo circles away.
Mason shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Aldo as he jumps to the side.

Aldo lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Mason backwards.

Aldo is trying to maintain a safe position but Mason gets an underhook and turns Aldo into the cage.

Aldo tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Mason avoids it.

Aldo misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Mason.

Mason drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Aldo gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Aldo swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Aldo misses with a body punch.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Aldo lands a left hand.
Mason tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Aldo smiles and moves away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jose Aldo dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Mason avoids a punch combination nicely.
Mason dives in and grabs Aldo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Aldo pushes down on Mason's head and hops out.
Aldo lands a right hook to the body.
Aldo connects with a looping right hand.
Mason misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A cross from Aldo lands.
Aldo darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Mason moves forwards but Aldo connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Mason is rocked!
Aldo lands a big right hook! Mason looks hurt but is still standing! Aldo lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Mason falls down and Aldo dives in with a huge hammer fist! Mason's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Aldo runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jose Aldo!
In his post fight interview, Jose Aldo started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
