Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Mcfatten!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Booth tries to clinch up.
Booth looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mcfatten is fending him off so far but Booth persists. Nope, Mcfatten circles away and we're back to standing.

Mcfatten closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Mcfatten stands up.
Booth fails to land the takedown.
Booth has his takedown stuffed

and Mcfatten counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Booth's guard now.

This has been an exciting period of action!
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Booth holds on and takes a little breather.
Mcfatten wants to control from the top but Booth keeps moving.
Mcfatten postures up.
Mcfatten must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Booth wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Mcfatten is now in half guard.

Mcfatten is fighting to break Booth's control of his arms but Booth is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Booth utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Booth holds on and takes a little breather.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Mcfatten feints and as Booth raises his hands in defense, Mcfatten changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Mcfatten decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Booth, up you get!
Mcfatten throws a nice looking combination but Booth bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Mcfatten drives through and clinches with Booth against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Booth drags the fight down to the ground.
Booth is breathing heavily.
Booth has his hands on Mcfatten's head, controlling the position.
Mcfatten wants to control from the top but Booth keeps moving.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mcfatten throws a big elbow that misses.
Mcfatten trying to move into half guard but instead Booth has managed to sweep!
Booth postures up.
Booth works over Mcfatten with some ground and pound from guard.
Mcfatten wants to stand but Booth is controlling the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Booth postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Booth stands up and waves to Mcfatten to follow him.
Mcfatten displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Booth.

Mcfatten scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Booth is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Mcfatten dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Booth tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Mcfatten defends well and Booth ends up having to push Mcfatten into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Mcfatten tightens his grip and picks Booth up, before dumping him to the ground. Booth manages to land in guard.

Mcfatten tries to stand but Booth is controlling from the bottom.
Mcfatten is breathing heavily.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

We're going to have a standup here because Guillermo Booth wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Mcfatten bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Mcfatten creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Booth sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Booth holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.
Mcfatten trying to control the action but Booth is working from the bottom.

Mcfatten wants to stand but Booth is controlling his arm.
Mcfatten wants to lay and pray for a moment but Booth keeps working.

Mcfatten goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Booth has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Mcfatten but great work by Booth.
Mcfatten tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

Booth is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Mcfatten taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Booth.
