Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cory Fox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Volkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Cory Fox!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexander Volkov!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Valeri Chadov and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Volkov tries a head kick but it misses.
Volkov fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Fox sprawls well initially but Volkov persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Fox strikes from the bottom but Volkov uses the opportunity to move to side control.
Fox tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Fox tries to lock up and control but Volkov gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Fox is trying to stand up.
Volkov content just to control the position here.
Fox gets back to half guard.
Volkov looks winded!
Volkov is taking a breather. Fox says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Volkov thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Fox's head.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Fox is trying to stand up here but Volkov is controlling him well.
Fox wants to control but Volkov is keeping busy.
Fox manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Volkov scores with a takedown into Fox's guard.
Fox is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Fox seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Volkov lands a couple of elbows.
Volkov wants to get up but he can't break Fox's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Fox is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Volkov is controlling him.
Fox working a defensive guard but Volkov manages to pass into side control anyway.

Fox could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Volkov tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Volkov has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Fox clinches.
Fox is struggling to control the position.
Volkov is looking to break free of the clinch but Fox has double underhooks.

Volkov manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Volkov has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Fox has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Fox tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Volkov has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Fox regains guard immediately.
Volkov won't allow Fox to sweep him here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Fox tries to strike from the bottom.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Fox fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Volkov looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Volkov drives through with a takedown into Fox's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Fox is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Volkov is controlling him.
Volkov slips nicely into half guard.
Volkov is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Fox wants to get back to his feet.
Fox manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Volkov keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Volkov's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Fox avoiding damage as Volkov throws knees to the body.
Volkov jumps into guard, dragging Fox to the mat.
Fox with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Fox postures up and lands a big shot to Volkov's brow.

Fox stands up from Volkov's guard - Fox perhaps looking for a knockout.
Alexander Volkov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fox pushes Volkov up against the cage in a clinch.
Fox lands a right hand that snaps the head of Volkov backwards.
Volkov ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Volkov no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Fox is looking to stand up but Volkov won't let him.
Alexander Volkov has got the better of the ground game so far.
Fox landing with the ground and pound.

Fox postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Volkov doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Fox wants to stand but Volkov has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Volkov looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Fox is defending well. Volkov quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Fox has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Volkov celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
