Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Russ Rutger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Riel Dan Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rutger comes to the cage accompanied by Hall & Oates - Out of Touch. Reyes is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Bad House Music ('98 Dub Mix). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 4 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
35 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Russ Rutger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
27 - 5 - 1, fighting out of New York, Riel Dan Reyes! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Ackerman and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reyes fails to land with a series of punches.
Reyes uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rutger. Rutger throws an overhand right that lands on Reyes's shoulder, as Reyes tries to avoid the shot. Rutger seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Reyes uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rutger.
Rutger misses the shot to the body. Rutger lands with a cross. Reyes scores with a jab to the head.
It looks like Russ Rutger has been cut. Rutger misses the body punch and Reyes decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rutger's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rutger wants to sweep here but Reyes controlling him for the moment. Reyes trying to control the position from guard on top but Rutger is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Reyes throws a strike but Rutger rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Rutger throws a big elbow that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reyes is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Rutger engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Reyes wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Rutger throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Rutger stops Reyes from standing up. Reyes is trying to control the position but Rutger postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rutger is looking to work some ground and pound but Reyes has wrist control. Rutger stopping the sweep attempt from Reyes. Rutger trying to control the position from guard on top but Reyes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Rutger cracks a nice hook into Reyes's ribs. Reyes rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Rutger counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Reyes shoots in for a takedown but Rutger shows good takedown defense. Rutger throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

It looks like Riel Dan Reyes has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Reyes throws a big shot that misses. Rutger working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Reyes wants to sweep here but Rutger controlling him for the moment. Rutger throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Reyes works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Rutger wants to control from the top but Reyes keeps moving. Russ Rutger dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Reyes gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Rutger swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Reyes fails with the takedown. Rutger buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Rutger throws a push kick but Reyes slaps the foot to one side. Rutger wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rutger lands with a good body shot. Rutger cracks the inside of Reyes's front leg. Rutger avoids a punch combination nicely.
Reyes fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Rutger misses with a head kick.
Reyes blocks a jab. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Reyes is defended easily by Rutger. Russ Rutger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Riel Dan Reyes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rutger throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Rutger feints and then cracks Reyes's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Reyes down. Reyes has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Reyes there as he acknowledges the shot. Rutger misses with a wild body shot. Rutger looks to score with a jab to the body but Reyes is just out of range. Good work by Reyes as he checks the leg kick. A jab from Reyes misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reyes avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Rutger lands a big head kick that sends Reyes tumbling to the mat! Rutger takes a step backwards and waves Reyes back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Reyes is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Rutger tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Reyes was well out of range. Poor timing from Rutger. A looping hook to the body misses from Rutger. Reyes does a little dance to reset his feet. Reyes clobbers Rutger with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Rutger throws an overhand right that lands on Reyes's shoulder, as Reyes tries to avoid the shot. Reyes moves out of range of the leg kick from Rutger. Rutger dodges the punch combination from Reyes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Reyes scores with a jab to the jaw. Rutger throws a lazy uppercut
and Reyes counters with a straight right hand. Rutger lands a head shot.
That has opened up Riel Dan Reyes's cut even more. Rutger is looking to wear down Reyes with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Reyes on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Rutger. Rutger obviously looking to wear him down.
Rutger lands a jab to the nose. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Rutger tests Reyes's chin there with a solid looking shot. Reyes shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rutger sprawls well. Rutger wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Reyes gets slowly back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Reyes decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rutger's guard. Reyes with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Reyes scoring with some ground and pound. Reyes wants to pass the guard but Rutger is keeping the position. Reyes postures up in Rutger's guard and throws a big left but Rutger blocks it. Rutger is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rutger keeping moving, preventing Reyes from controlling successfully. Rutger looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Riel Dan Reyes has got the better of the ground game so far. Reyes postures up.
Reyes tries to free his leg and advance position but Rutger is retaining full guard. Rutger throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Reyes in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Rutger is looking for a triangle but Reyes pushes his legs off easily.
Reyes trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Reyes lands a couple of digs. This has been an exciting period of action! Hammerfist, elbow! yells Reyes's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Rutger wants to sweep but no luck. Rutger is working hard here to advance position. Reyes trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Rutger is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

He's managed to get a loose triangle. Reyes doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Reyes has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

A close third round but Riel Dan Reyes just about did enough to take it. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Rutger misses with a head kick.
Rutger lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Reyes connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Reyes moves out of range of the body kick. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Reyes is defended easily by Rutger. Rutger lands a head kick. Reyes smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reyes takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Rutger throws a series of strikes that have Reyes backpedaling.
The cut above Riel Dan Reyes's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Reyes shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rutger but Rutger pushes him off and we're back to square one. Rutger throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Reyes stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reyes changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rutger tries to avoid it but Reyes manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rutger to the ground. Rutger escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Russ Rutger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Riel Dan Reyes. Rutger fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Rutger scores with a leg kick.
Reyes takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Rutger lands with a nice body punch. Rutger stuffs the takedown attempt from Reyes. Reyes gets slowly back to his feet. Reyes is absolutely dripping with sweat - he looks exhausted. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Rutger will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reyes walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Rutger uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Reyes has time to react. Rutger throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Reyes sees it coming and avoids it easily. Rutger digs a good body shot into Reyes's ribs. Riel Dan Reyes has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Rutger keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Rutger stuffs the takedown attempt from Reyes. Reyes gets slowly back to his feet. Rutger keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Reyes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rutger throws a series of punches but Reyes avoids them all with ease. Reyes dodges the punch combination from Rutger.
Russ Rutger is winning the standup battle so far. Reyes avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Rutger is looking to slow Reyes down with leg kicks. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nice body punch from Rutger. Rutger throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
And that's the end of the fight! Russ Rutger showed his dominance in that final round. I think Rutger has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
