Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between General Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stan Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, General Lee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stan Smith ! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Smith is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lee. Lee throws a big shot that misses. Lee has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Lee wants to clinch. Lee misses with a straight right. Smith looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Lee on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Smith scores with the left hand. Lee knows he should have avoided that one. Smith fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Lee looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Smith cracks Lee with a right hand to the side of the head. Lee throws a front kick aimed at Smith 's knee but Smith avoids it well. The crowd cheers as Smith lands an impressive looking overhand right. Lee doesn't seem phased though. A lazy left from Smith finds it's target. Stan Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith lands a right hook to the body.
Smith lands with a right hand. Smith shoots in and drives through. Lee sprawls well. Smith scores with a punch to the head. Lee takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Smith scores with a jab to the body. Smith misses with a hook. Smith lands a head shot. Smith scores with a jab to the head.
Lee is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Lee. Smith dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lee is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Smith . Smith steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Lee. Smith ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lee moves away. Lee on the wrong end of a nice jab. Smith keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Lee. Smith misses with a wild body shot. Smith throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lee was covering up waiting for the punch and Smith finishes the takedown easily into guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Lee keeping moving, preventing Smith from controlling successfully. Lee is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smith trying to control but Lee is working from the bottom. Smith throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lee works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Smith slips nicely into half guard. Smith tries to pass to full mount but Lee defends it. Smith sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Lee defending well though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Smith looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Lee manages to get to full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Smith accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Lee keeping full guard, as Smith tries to pass. Smith trying to control the position from guard on top but Lee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Smith throwing strikes from guard but Lee blocks nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stan Smith dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Smith fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Lee on the side of the head. Lee connects with a looping right hand.
Smith cracks Lee with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Lee on the wrong end of a nice hook. Lee misses with a hook. Smith throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lee throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Smith counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Smith trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Smith wants to control from the top but Lee keeps moving. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lee keeping full guard, as Smith tries to pass.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Smith looking to sit in guard and control but Lee gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Lee trying to control the position from guard on top but Smith is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lee tries to free his leg and advance position but Smith is retaining full guard. Smith working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lee.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smith looking for a sweep. Not yet Smith , not yet. Lee has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Lee throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Smith works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Smith controls Lee momentarily but Lee frees himself. Lee trying to move into half guard but instead Smith has managed to sweep! Smith stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lee swivels though and keeps the full guard. Smith trying to control the position from guard on top but Lee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Smith manages to get himself to full guard.

Smith preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Smith working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lee. Smith looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Lee in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Smith wants to sweep but no luck. Smith trying to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Smith controlling the position. Smith wants to sweep here but Lee controlling him for the moment. Lee slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Smith is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Lee off and has taken his back! Lee is covering up but some of the strikes from Smith are getting through and doing damage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lee tries to roll but Smith sticks to his back.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lee manages to reverse the position and now he's in Smith 's guard. Nice work there by Lee.

Stan Smith showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Lee has closed the distance and engaged Smith in a clinch.
Smith is trying to push Lee away but Lee has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Smith blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Smith is trying to break the clinch but Lee has him pressed against the cage. Smith is looking to break free of the clinch but Lee has double underhooks. Lee swings wildly with an uppercut but Smith uses good head movement to avoid it. Smith goes for a takedown in the clinch but Lee prevents it.
Smith 's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Smith shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lee pinned against the cage. Lee gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. A lazy left from Smith finds it's target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee throws an off balance right hand
and Smith counters with a nice double leg into guard. Stan Smith has got the better of the ground game so far. Smith forces his way into half guard. Smith looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Lee is looking to control Smith 's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lee avoid being mounted? Smith is keen to just control but Lee is a slippery customer. Lee avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Smith . Smith wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lee keeps working. Stan Smith is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Smith controlling the action here.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Stan Smith was stalling too much, according to the referee. Horrible takedown by Smith or perhaps it was just good defense by Lee which made him look bad. General Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stan Smith . A momentary lapse in concentration from Lee enables Smith to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Lee manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Smith trying to control the position from guard on top but Lee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smith sitting in guard here, content to control. General Lee has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The ref stands the fighters back up. Stan Smith was stalling too much, according to the referee. Lee swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Smith .
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lee misses with a body kick. Smith fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Lee on the side of the head. Smith misses with a wild body shot. Lee shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Smith pinned against the cage. Smith gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Lee takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Lee gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Nice cross by Smith . Smith tests Lee's chin there with a solid looking shot.
And that's the end of the fight! Stan Smith comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Smith has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
