The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Chris Dean and Skip Squint.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diego tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pop sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Diego somewhat.
Diego tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Pop defends well and Diego ends up having to push Pop into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Diego lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Diego wants to pass the guard but Pop is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Diego thows a huge punch but Pop dodges it nicely.
Diego not doing much here.
Diego is nestled in close to Pop, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Diego prevents Pop from standing back up.
Diego seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Pop is looking to escape.

Diego is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Pop has managed to free his arm - good work.

Diego sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Pop defending well though.
Diego thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Diego moves into full mount! Pop won't be happy about that!
Diego throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Diego breaks from Pop's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Pop really wants to buck Diego off and get back to his feet.

Pop is rocked!
Diego loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Pop scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Diego land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Diego stands and salutes the crowd.
