Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Demolition Man Randy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Seifer Almasy! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Matti Vanhoillinen and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Almasy tries to clinch and Randy counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Randy just misses with a punch to the body.
Almasy does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Almasy gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Almasy as Randy tries to tie him up. Randy wants a takedown.
The referee calls for Almasy to work.
Randy is looking to control Almasy's arms but Almasy gets an underhook and turns him. Now Randy has his back to the cage. Randy tries to pull guard but Almasy forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Randy's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! A battle for position here, against the cage. Almasy misses with the head strike.
Randy has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Randy is working for takedown but Almasy is calmly controlling the position for now. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Demolition Man Randy. That's going to take a lot out of him. Almasy is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Randy is defending well for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Almasy breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Almasy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Almasy seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Randy missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Randy might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Randy works over Almasy with some ground and pound from guard. Almasy is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Randy is controlling him. Almasy working a defensive guard here.

Almasy seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Randy cracks Almasy with a solid left hand. Almasy is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Randy trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Randy connects with a couple of short punches. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Almasy controls Randy momentarily but Randy frees himself. Almasy wants to stand up but Randy is controlling him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Randy postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Randy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Almasy has momentary wrist control but Randy slips an elbow through the middle. Almasy preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Randy with a flurry of punches that miss. Randy drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Almasy dives on top into guard. Randy keeping moving, preventing Almasy from controlling successfully. Randy looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Almasy puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Randy punching from the bottom.
Almasy looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Almasy seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

That was a close round but I would say that Demolition Man Randy will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Almasy will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Seifer Almasy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Almasy moves in looking to clinch but Randy pushes him off. Randy misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Almasy.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Almasy enables Randy to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Almasy manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Randy postures up.

He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Almasy has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Randy is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Randy is trying to force a seperation but Almasy has the dominant position.

Seifer Almasy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

This has been an exciting period of action! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Almasy tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Randy paws at him with a jab and circles away. Almasy doesn't manage to clinch there - Randy circles away.
And that's the end of the fight! Seifer Almasy comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Almasy has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
