Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Connie Daniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cillian OSullivan Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

OSullivan Jr bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
OSullivan Jr wants to stand but Daniels has his arm trapped.
Daniels is trying to improve his position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

OSullivan Jr changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Daniels tries to avoid it but OSullivan Jr manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Daniels to the ground. Daniels escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

OSullivan Jr jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Daniels walks away with a smile on his face. OSullivan Jr gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

OSullivan Jr has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Daniels has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Daniels is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down OSullivan Jr's shoulder. That is not cool.

Daniels remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
