PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mish Mosh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jere Stephens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jere Stephens told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mish Mosh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jere Stephens!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Peter Branson and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stephens sizes up Mosh with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Stephens throws a nice looking combination but Mosh bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A big left from Stephens misses.
Stephens scores with the left hand. Mosh knows he should have avoided that one.

Stephens throws a head kick but Mosh moves out of range.
Jere Stephens seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Stephens working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mosh doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mosh manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
