Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jerry Butler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikiya Hayashida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jerry Butler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mikiya Hayashida! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Butler crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Hayashida - the referee stops the clock and Butler gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Hayashida. Butler manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Butler fails with the takedown. Hayashida connects with a high kick. Hayashida fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Butler manages to avoid it. Butler takes a kick to the side of the head. Hayashida is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Butler shoots in for a takedown but Hayashida shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Hayashida swats away the attempt to clinch by Butler. Hayashida throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Butler's head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hayashida delivers a nice body kick. Hayashida dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Butler. That did some damage! Butler has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Hayashida. Butler tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Hayashida defends well and Butler ends up having to push Hayashida into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jerry Butler. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hayashida drops Butler with a big knee straight up the middle! Butler is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
It looks like Jerry Butler has been cut. Butler seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Hayashida fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Butler looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Butler is breathing heavily. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Butler crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Hayashida - the referee stops the clock and Butler gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Hayashida. Butler manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Hayashida lands with a kick to the temple. Butler shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Hayashida throws a good cross that connects.
Butler is rocked! Hayashida lands a big head kick that sends Butler tumbling to the mat! Hayashida takes a step backwards and waves Butler back to his feet - he wants the finish! Oh Butler is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's one minute gone in the round. Hayashida stuffs the takedown attempt from Butler. Butler gets slowly back to his feet. Hayashida lands a nice leg kick that just misses Butler's sensitive parts. Hayashida chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Butler is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Hayashida doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Butler crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Butler's bad books for that mishap!
