Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jasbir Patel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rampage Lugg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jasbir Patel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rampage Lugg! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, David Hoff and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lugg is defended easily by Patel. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lugg. Lugg rushes Patel and presses him up against the cage. Lugg stalling in the clinch but Patel improves position. Patel lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Lugg takes an elbow to the forehead.
It looks like Rampage Lugg has been cut. Patel displaying some good clinch control by pressing Lugg up against the cage. A short body shot lands from Patel as the two fighters clinch.
Lugg blocks an elbow strike. Patel lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Lugg backwards. A short body shot lands from Patel as the two fighters clinch.
Lugg goes for a takedown attempt but Patel pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Jasbir Patel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rampage Lugg.
That's one minute gone in the round. Patel will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Patel fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lugg, pushing him back against the cage. Patel slows down the pace here.
Lugg is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Patel lands a nice elbow. Patel is pressed up against the cage. Lugg has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Patel down to the mat. Patel avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Patel drives through and clinches with Lugg against the cage.

The cut above Rampage Lugg's eye is starting to cause him problems now. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Patel is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Patel pushes off an throws an elbow but Lugg leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Patel creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Lugg's defenses. Patel lands a nice elbow.
Rampage Lugg's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
