The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez looks to land a left hand but Reeves moved out of range nicely.

Reeves shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Sanchez is trying to defend but Reeves finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The fighters are battling for position here. Sanchez manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Sanchez seems to be looking for submissions.
Reeves wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sanchez wants to finish this one by submission but Reeves is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Sanchez.

Reeves is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.

Sanchez swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Reeves is now in Sanchez's guard. A big mistake from Sanchez there, giving up the dominant position!

Sanchez is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Reeves defends well.

Sanchez swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Reeves.

It looks like Kory Reeves has been cut.
We've been informed that Sanchez has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Reeves walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Horrible takedown by Reeves or perhaps it was just good defense by Sanchez which made him look bad.

Sanchez cracks Reeves with an uppercut from hell and Reeves crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Sanchez's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Reeves is rocked!
Reeves knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sanchez on the ground.

Sanchez loads up on a big left hand. Reeves felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Sanchez looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Reeves can't hide his disappointment, as Sanchez celebrates the victory.
