Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Terrance Maddox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Carter.
Maddox fails in his attempt to clinch.
Carter rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Maddox moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Carter shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Maddox is trying to defend but Carter finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Carter seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Carter throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Maddox counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Carter!

Maddox throws an elbow but Carter slips to the side and avoids it well.
Carter is trying to improve his position.
Carter looks winded!

Maddox looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Carter is being controlled here.
Maddox tries to score with some ground and pound. Carter controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Maddox scores with a couple of short elbows.
Carter tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Maddox has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Carter is looking to improve his position but Maddox isn't that keen on the idea.

Carter is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Maddox locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Carter is forced to tap!
