PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jay The Killer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adam Jones told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jay The Killer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Adam Jones!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Steven Brown and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones throws a right and a left that both miss.
Jones avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Jones swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Jones throws a series of punches but The Killer avoids them all with ease.
The Killer rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jones moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

The Killer closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jones to the mat! Jones manages to get full guard.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
The Killer trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The Killer is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The Killer looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

The Killer ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jones moves away.

Jay The Killer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The Killer stuns Jones with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

The Killer closes the distance and clinches up with Jones, looking for a takedown. The Killer pushes Jones against the ropes but Jones circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Jones will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Adam Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

The Killer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Jones holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as The Killer tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Jones is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

The Killer punching from mount but Jones doing a good job of avoiding damage.
The Killer looking to control but Jones is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Jones has left one of his arms exposed and The Killer doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Jones screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
