Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnathon Pickett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sanjay Bhaskar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Johnathon Pickett! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sanjay Bhaskar! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Kenichi Hosakawa and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bhaskar takes the fight into the clinch. Bhaskar pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Pickett moves in looking to clinch but Bhaskar pushes him off. Pickett shoots for a double leg takedown but Bhaskar sprawls well. He's pushed Pickett's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Pickett lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Bhaskar backs up against the cage.
Bhaskar drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Bhaskar decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Pickett, up you get! Pickett rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bhaskar moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Bhaskar fails miserably with a takedown attempt. No luck for Pickett with that takedown attempt. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bhaskar tries for a takedown but Pickett sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bhaskar shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Bhaskar was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Bhaskar trying to control the position but Pickett is working away. Bhaskar sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Pickett is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bhaskar tries for a kimura but Pickett is defending well. Bhaskar is looking to take a break and control but Pickett is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pickett is looking to get back to his feet here but Bhaskar is keeping cool and he's managed to take Pickett's back. Bhaskar has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Pickett.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bhaskar is working for a rear naked choke. Pickett is not defending it well and Bhaskar has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Pickett refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Pickett's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Sanjay Bhaskar!
