The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Death tried to score with a low kick but Oconner checks it.
Oconner circles away from the clinch attempt
and Oconner counters with a big head kick but Death shrugs it off.
Death misses with a takedown
and Oconner counters with a low kick, right behind Death 's knee.
Oconner connects with a jab.
Oconner lands a front kick.

Oconner instigates a clinch.
Oconner lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Oconner lands a body shot in the clinch.
Death fails to pull guard.

Oconner's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
David Oconner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Oconner plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Oconner feints and then cracks Death's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Death down.
Death shoots and misses
and Oconner counters with a slapping leg kick.

Death lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Oconner circles away quickly and effectively.
Oconner connects with a leg kick. Death looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

David Oconner is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Death is breathing heavily.
Death walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
A slapping body kick lands there for Oconner.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Oconner lands a left and a right that send Death crashing to the mat, dazed. Oconner thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Death is rocked!

It looks like Michael Death has been cut.
Oconner drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Death right on the button. Death goes down! Oconner follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Oconner gets the win via TKO!
