Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 1, fighting out of New York, Mauricio Austin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Storm Hull! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Reed Andrews and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hull throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Austin's waist but Austin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hull off to one side. Hull dives in for a single leg takedown but Austin sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Hull looking to slow down the pace here. Hull misses with a punch on the inside.
Austin manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Mauricio Austin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Storm Hull. Austin gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Hull.

That was a close round but I would say that Mauricio Austin will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Hull shoots in looking for a takedown but Austin manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hull's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Austin slaps away a takedown attempt from Hull, before circling back to the center of the mat. The crowd cheers as Hull lands an impressive looking overhand right. Austin doesn't seem phased though. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Austin uses from the top position. Hull wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Austin is now in half guard. Austin controlling the action here. Hull wants to get back to full guard.

He lands a short punch in the meantime. Austin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Austin takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Hull is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Austin jumps into side control! Austin lands a decent elbow from side control. Austin looks up at the clock and then as Hull takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Austin smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Hull looks to move to half guard but instead Austin has passed into mount! Damn! Hull is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Austin cracks Hull with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Austin works his way to his opponent's back.
This has been an exciting period of action! Hull grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hull rolls, trying to escape but Austin keeps control of the position.

Austin gets tackled into the cage by Hull. Hull maintains the clinch. Hull is trying to pull guard but Austin has him pressed against the cage. Hull gets control of Austin's arms and successfully pulls guard. Hull will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Austin slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Mauricio Austin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Austin gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. No luck with that takedown attempt from Austin. Hull scores with a nice strike.

Austin perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

And that's the end of the fight! Mauricio Austin showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Austin, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
