Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jonny Boesh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mahamud Najib Osman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mahamud Najib Osman is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Najib Osman shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Boesh but Boesh pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and Boesh counters with a leg kick.
Boesh shoots in but Najib Osman avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Boesh keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Najib Osman looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Boesh is fending him off so far but Najib Osman persists. Nope, Boesh circles away and we're back to standing.

Boesh shoots in for a double leg but Najib Osman sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Boesh fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Najib Osman avoids it really well and circles away.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Boesh enables Najib Osman to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Boesh manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Najib Osman has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Boesh is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Najib Osman just misses with a elbow thrown towards Boesh's brow.

Najib Osman is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Boesh breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Najib Osman counters with a shoot takedown. Boesh fights it but they end up in guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Boesh working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Najib Osman doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Najib Osman manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jonny Boesh.
I think Najib Osman has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
