Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Timy Tiger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Karlsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Timy Tiger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alex Karlsson! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Dean Styles and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tiger tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Tiger looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Tiger moves into the clinch. Tiger lands a body shot in the clinch.
Tiger lands with a left to the head. Karlsson jumps guard but Tiger stands there with Karlsson around his waist. Karlsson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Nice body punch from Tiger. Karlsson misses with a body punch.
Karlsson tries to break the clinch but Tiger is controlling the position. Tiger pushes Karlsson back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Tiger using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Karlsson has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Tiger lands a left hand that snaps the head of Karlsson backwards. A head punch on the inside from Karlsson fails to land. Karlsson jumps guard and drags Tiger to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Karlsson wants to sweep but no luck. Karlsson wants to stand up but Tiger is controlling him. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Karlsson has a closed guard, preventing Tiger from standing up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Karlsson tries to land a sweep but no joy. Karlsson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Tiger is aware though and is defending well. Tiger is looking to stand up but Karlsson won't let him. Karlsson looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Tiger tries to stand but Karlsson is controlling from the bottom. Karlsson is looking to stand up but Tiger isn't so interested in that idea.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tiger wants to get up but he can't break Karlsson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Karlsson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tiger gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Tiger would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Karlsson managing to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tiger wanted to stand there but Karlsson had control of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tiger wants to stand and escape but instead Karlsson has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Tiger wants to stand but Karlsson is controlling the position. Karlsson throws a big elbow that misses. Karlsson stops Tiger from standing up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Karlsson trying to control the position from guard on top but Tiger is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Karlsson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Tiger's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Karlsson trying to mount his opponent but Tiger defends it. Tiger wants to get back to his feet.
Tiger trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Karlsson wants to stand up but Tiger is controlling the position.
Karlsson looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Karlsson controlling the action here. Tiger is trying to stand back up but Karlsson is controlling him
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Timy Tiger will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Karlsson changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Alex Karlsson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A lazy left from Tiger finds it's target. Tiger throws a body punch but Karlsson moves out of range. Tiger throws a head kick but Karlsson moves out of range.
Tiger will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Karlsson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Tiger counters with an outside leg kick.
Karlsson scores with a jab. Karlsson misses with the combination.
Karlsson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tiger tries to avoid it but Karlsson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tiger to the ground. Tiger escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Karlsson misses with a few strikes there.
Tiger is looking to land body kicks. Tiger slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. A lazy left from Tiger finds it's target. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Karlsson throws a nice looking combination but Tiger bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Tiger looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Karlsson gets the takedown into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Karlsson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Alex Karlsson has got the better of the ground game so far. Karlsson is breathing heavily. Karlsson throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Tiger pushes Karlsson away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Karlsson gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Karlsson wants to control but Tiger is keeping him busy. Tiger tries to escape but Karlsson is in control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Karlsson stands up. Tiger tried to score with a low kick but Karlsson checks it. A momentary lapse in concentration from Tiger enables Karlsson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Tiger manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tiger is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Karlsson is controlling him. We've been informed that Karlsson has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Karlsson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Karlsson pushes down on Tiger's leg and manages to get into half guard. Karlsson passes the guard and advances to mount! Karlsson controlling the position easily from mount. Tiger is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Karlsson punching from mount but Tiger doing a good job of avoiding damage. Karlsson tries to control but Tiger wriggling away. Tiger is trying to stand. Karlsson trying to control but Tiger is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tiger is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Karlsson misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Karlsson won't let Tiger get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Tiger is squirming around, avoiding Karlsson's attempts to control the action. Tiger wants to try and get back to his feet. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Karlsson controlling his opponent. Karlsson tries to control but Tiger wriggling away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Alex Karlsson will probably get the nod - 10:9. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Karlsson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tiger swats him away and circles back towards the center. Good leg kick by Tiger there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
No joy there for Karlsson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Tiger with a body punch. A glancing blow. Karlsson stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Tiger. Tiger lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Tiger rushes Karlsson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Karlsson fails to pull guard.
Karlsson is looking to control Tiger's arms but Tiger gets an underhook and turns him. Now Karlsson has his back to the cage. Karlsson is trying to break free. Tiger's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Karlsson is working Tiger over against the cage. Karlsson lands a hook that snaps the head of Tiger backwards.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tiger looking to throw knees to the head but Karlsson is blocking nicely.
Tiger is pressed up against the cage. Karlsson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Tiger down to the mat. Tiger avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Alex Karlsson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Karlsson avoids a kick to the body.
Karlsson stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Tiger. Karlsson dives in for a single leg takedown but Tiger sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Timy Tiger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Karlsson. Karlsson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Tiger lands a left hand that snaps the head of Karlsson backwards. Tiger blocks a body shot from Karlsson. Tiger scores with a hook to the body. Tiger lands on the inside with an uppercut. Karlsson is trying to break the clinch but Tiger has him pressed against the cage. A short right hand to the side of the head by Tiger. Tiger lands a hook that snaps the head of Karlsson backwards. Tiger tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. A short left from Tiger. A short uppercut from Tiger. Karlsson breaks the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tiger lands a big shot that drops Karlsson! Can he finish him?
Karlsson is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Karlsson has a closed guard, preventing Tiger from standing up. Karlsson is still in real trouble! Can Tiger finish him? Karlsson wants to sweep but no luck. Karlsson is looking to sweep but instead, Tiger has passed into half guard.
Tiger tries to stand but can't do so whilst Karlsson controls his leg. Karlsson seems to have recovered his senses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tiger wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Karlsson uses the opportunity to regain full guard. Tiger prevents Karlsson from getting back to his feet. Karlsson tries to land a sweep but no joy. Tiger wanted to stand there but Karlsson had control of the position. Tiger stopping the sweep attempt from Karlsson. Tiger wanted to stand there but Karlsson had control of the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Karlsson is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Alex Karlsson hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Tiger lands with a straight right. Karlsson didn't see that one coming. Karlsson throws a wild combination but nothing lands. The fight stays on the outside here - Tiger looks like he's thinking about clinching though. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Karlsson throws a left and a right that both miss
and Tiger counters with a thumping low kick. Tiger moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Karlsson goes down! Can Tiger finish him!? This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Tiger would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Timy Tiger showed his dominance in that final round. I think Tiger has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
