Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Robert Frye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Babaloo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Babaloo has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Robert Frye's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Robert Frye! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Babaloo! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Frye scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Frye is keen to just control but Babaloo is a slippery customer. Frye wants to work for an arm triangle but Babaloo is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Frye looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Frye wants to pass the guard but Babaloo is defending well. Frye is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Frye is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
That's one minute gone in the round. Babaloo is looking to control Frye's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Babaloo avoid being mounted? Frye wants to pass the guard but Babaloo is defending well.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Babaloo gets caught flat footed, as Frye shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Frye trying to control the position from guard on top but Babaloo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Frye wants to pass the guard but Babaloo is keeping the position. Frye postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Babaloo wants to sweep but no luck. Babaloo keeping moving, preventing Frye from controlling successfully. Frye looking to pass the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Babaloo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Babaloo looks gassed! Frye missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Babaloo doesn't manage to clinch there - Frye circles away.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Frye thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Frye trying to control but Babaloo is working from the bottom. Babaloo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Frye is one step ahead there. Frye stands and steps away. Babaloo gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Frye shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Frye trying to control from half guard but Babaloo is working away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Babaloo looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Frye wants to sweep here but Babaloo controlling him for the moment. Frye has his foot on Babaloo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Babaloo works his way back into a safe position though. Babaloo won't allow Frye to sweep him here. Frye controlling the position. Frye working a defensive guard here.

No chance. Babaloo stopping the sweep attempt from Frye. Frye wants to improve his position but instead Babaloo has moved into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Babaloo sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Frye defending well though. Babaloo prevents Frye from improving his position. Frye looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Frye wants to control but Babaloo is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Babaloo looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Frye is looking to take a break and control but Babaloo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Donk. Frye catches Babaloo right on the button with a cross. Frye looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Babaloo is defending against the submission attempts here by Frye.
Babaloo is trying to maintain the position but Frye is very close to passing his half guard. Frye tries to pass to full mount but Babaloo defends it. Robert Frye overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Frye is thwarting Babaloo's attempts to control the position. It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Frye scores a takedown into full mount! Frye breaks from Babaloo's wrist control and lands an elbow. Frye looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Babaloo working to try and regain half guard.
Babaloo wants to hold on but Frye pushes him away. Frye scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Babaloo?
Babaloo tries to reverse the position but Frye maintains control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Frye goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Babaloo is on top in guard.

Frye keeping moving, preventing Babaloo from controlling successfully. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Babaloo postures up in Frye's guard and throws a big left but Frye blocks it.
And that's the end of the fight! Robert Frye showed his dominance in that final round. Well Frye has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
