Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rob Ramirez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Yardigalovich Vasililiev! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Matheus Silva and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ramirez looks to land a body kick but Vasililiev moved away. Ramirez closes the distance and clinches up with Vasililiev, looking for a takedown. Ramirez pushes Vasililiev against the cage but Vasililiev circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Ramirez tries to clinch up. Vasililiev fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ramirez shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Ramirez shoots in looking for a takedown but Vasililiev manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ramirez's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rob Ramirez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Vasililiev throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

Ramirez drags the fight down to the ground.
Ramirez throws his legs up looking for a submission but Vasililiev uses it to pass to side control.
Vasililiev wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ramirez, who protects the arm well. Ramirez tries to improve position but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vasililiev misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Vasililiev tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Vasililiev has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Ramirez wants to control but Vasililiev postures up. Ramirez is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Vasililiev is controlling him well. Vasililiev tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Vasililiev has control of an arm but Ramirez manages to advance to Vasililiev's back!
That's two minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Vasililiev's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Ramirez controlling from the back. Vasililiev really must keep his cool here. He's controlling one of Ramirez's hands and whilst he does that, he's got a chance of escaping the position. Vasililiev trying to control the position but Ramirez manages to sink in the hooks. Vasililiev tries to escape the position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Ramirez is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Vasililiev defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. This has been an exciting period of action! Vasililiev is trying to break free.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vasililiev trying to control but not successfully. Vasililiev wants to escape the position but for the time being he's just trying to control the pace. Vasililiev won't enjoy being in this position. Ramirez looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Vasililiev is tapping - it's over boys! Ramirez picks up the submission victory!
