The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ik scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Sanchez dives in for a single leg takedown but Ik sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Ik drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Sanchez gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Ik is trying to drag Sanchez to the mat but Sanchez just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sanchez connects with a nice short shot to Ik's temple.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sanchez fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ik avoids it really well and circles away.
Ik jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Ik swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Sanchez throws a lazy right hand but Ik sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Sanchez shoots in for a double leg but Ik sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Ik leaves Sanchez with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
