PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Fakhri El Hashem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Huang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). El Hashem comes into the arena with Kassaman blaring out of the sound system. Huang has chosen Nelly - The Champ as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Fakhri El Hashem has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Fakhri El Hashem seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body punch from El Hashem.
El Hashem rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Huang moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
El Hashem throws a hook but Huang avoids it easily.
Fakhri El Hashem seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Huang.
El Hashem scores with a hook to the body. Huang takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
El Hashem throws a right and a left that Huang avoids nicely.
Nice sprawl there from El Hashem as Huang shoots in.
El Hashem just misses with a punch to the body.
Nice cross by El Hashem.
Huang shoots in looking for a takedown. El Hashem tries to sprawl out of it but Huang keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. El Hashem manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Fakhri El Hashem has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kevin Huang.
Huang shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Huang throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around El Hashem's waist but El Hashem gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Huang off to one side.

El Hashem gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Huang to score an easy takedown into full guard.

El Hashem has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Huang off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

El Hashem feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Huang sprawling to the canvas! Huang rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can El Hashem finish him?!

Huang is rocked!

Huang walks straight into a right hand from El Hashem - that's dropped him! El Hashem jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Huang from any more punishment! Huang complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
