Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kenshiro Kasumi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tanner Speed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kasumi kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Ai Wo Torimodose aka Song of Manliness. Speed has chosen Funky Kingston / Toots And The Maytals as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Joseph Jones and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Speed misses with a shot to the body
and Kasumi counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Kasumi does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Kasumi has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Xtreme Punishment in the buildup to the fight.
Speed shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Speed showed some decent athleticism there.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kasumi will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kasumi.

Some bone on bone action there as Kasumi checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Kasumi will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Speed connects with a solid leg kick.
Speed swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kasumi fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Speed checks it well.
Speed darts in trying to clinch
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Kasumi has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Speed has taken the fight to the clinch.

Kasumi is trying to push Speed away but Speed has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kasumi using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Speed has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Kasumi pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Look low, kick high! Kasumi uses the oldest trick in the book to send Speed tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Kasumi is absolutely delighted - when Speed wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
