Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Forrest Gump (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pumola Chang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gump comes to the cage accompanied by mama always said. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pumola Chang!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slapping leg kick lands for Gump.
Pumola Chang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gump fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Chang.
Chang chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Gump can pounce on him.
Chang misses with a wild body shot.

Gump throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Chang tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Gump is in Chang's guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Chang wants to sweep but no luck.
Gump controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gump throws a big right hand that misses.
Gump stopping the sweep attempt from Chang.
Gump wanted to stand there but Chang had control of the position.
Gump seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

We're going to have a standup here because Forrest Gump wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Gump slips a jab and a cross from Chang.
Gump throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Chang counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Gump's guard now.
Chang must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Chang stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Gump throws up his legs and catches Chang in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Chang tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Gump! That came out of nowhere!
