Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bowman Rook!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Milan Savic!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Jonathan Paton and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, jab by Savic - just one landing.
Savic attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Savic throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Rook on the side of the head.
Savic scores with a jab.
Nice defenses there by Savic.

Rook shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Savic manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Rook postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Rook lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Savic looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Rook got a little sloppy there for a moment and Savic has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rook has managed to get both his arms back between Savic's legs - danger averted.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Savic has hold of Rook's hands but Rook slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Rook is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Rook lands a nice short elbow.
Rook working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Savic looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Rook in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Savic tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Rook!
