The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ghadafi throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Duffy was covering up waiting for the punch and Ghadafi finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Ghadafi must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Ghadafi arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Duffy's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Gegard Ghadafi was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
