Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Franco Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Almeida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Almeida is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by DANZA KUDURO by Don Omar. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Almeida on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Almeida drives through and clinches with Williams against the ropes.

Almeida has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Thiago Almeida seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Almeida throws a leg kick but Williams sees it coming and moves out of range.

Almeida walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Williams checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Williams with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Almeida to score with a decent uppercut.

Williams lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Almeida circles away quickly and effectively.
Almeida throws a right hand that Williams ducks under and follows up with a left that Williams also avoids with ease.
Almeida throws a combination. Williams tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

The fighters circling - Almeida throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Almeida moves into range and clinches up with Williams.
Almeida tries to break free but Williams pushes him back against the ropes.
Almeida pushes off an throws an elbow but Williams leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the ropes.
Almeida has had enough of the clinch but Williams keeps him there for the moment.

Almeida lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Almeida ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Thiago Almeida dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Williams moves away from the strike by Almeida.
Williams tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Almeida tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Williams is able to avoid easily.
