Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between James Owen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kita Zen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Kita Zen enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Owen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kita Zen!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Owen tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Zen counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Zen.

Zen breaks the clinch.
Owen tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Zen paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Owen closes the distance looking to clinch

and Zen counters by clinching up.
Owen tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Zen's elbow.
Owen tries to land a knee to the head but Zen blocks with his arms.
Zen gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Owen pushes off an throws an elbow but Zen leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Zen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Zen shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Owen napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Zen working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Zen is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Owen knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Zen grinds an elbow into Owen's temple.

Zen thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Zen is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Owen looks calm but he's in trouble here. Zen gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Owen is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Zen lets go of the hold and Owen can pop his arm back in it's socket.
