Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between David Bellic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jora Buhovsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, David Bellic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jora Buhovsky!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bellic ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Bellic scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.


It looks like Jora Buhovsky has been cut.

Buhovsky drives through with a takedown into Bellic's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Bellic managing to control the position.
Bellic throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Bellic is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Buhovsky wants to stand but Bellic has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Buhovsky really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bellic. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bellic is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Bellic connects with a big shot to the side of Buhovsky's head.
Bellic wants to control but Buhovsky is keeping busy.
Bellic connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Buhovsky to escape the position.
Bellic is not going to allow Buhovsky to sit and survive in this position.

Bellic has the hooks in. Buhovsky is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Bellic ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Buhovsky moves away.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Buhovsky steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Bellic.
Bellic looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Bellic shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Buhovsky sprawls well. Buhovsky wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bellic gets slowly back to his feet.
Bellic slips a jab and a cross from Buhovsky.
Bellic is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Buhovsky.
Bellic shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Buhovsky moves into the clinch.

Buhovsky escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Bellic is working for takedown but Buhovsky is calmly controlling the position for now.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Bellic. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bellic's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Buhovsky is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Bellic is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Bellic has escaped and now he's on top!
Buhovsky wants to stand but Bellic is controlling the position.

Buhovsky throws his legs up looking for a submission but Bellic uses it to pass to side control.
David Bellic overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Bellic wants to lay and pray for a moment but Buhovsky keeps working.
Bellic throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Bellic is stalling here. Buhovsky is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Bellic seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Buhovsky has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Buhovsky is looking to take a break and control but Bellic is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Buhovsky wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bellic, who protects the arm well.
A lull in the action here.
Bellic sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Bellic is pressing down on Buhovsky's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Bellic on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bellic tries to get out of the position.

That was a close second round but I would say that David Bellic will probably get the nod.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Bellic leaves Buhovsky with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Buhovsky gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Bellic cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Buhovsky tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bellic paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bellic. Buhovsky does a little dance to reset his feet.
Buhovsky misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
David Bellic has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jora Buhovsky.

Bellic shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Buhovsky's guard.
Bellic wants to control from the top but Buhovsky keeps moving.
Bellic not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Bellic seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Buhovsky for as long as he can get away with.

Bellic has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Buhovsky has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Buhovsky is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Bellic can't fight it off and eventually Buhovsky manages to take the fight to the floor. Bellic looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Bellic is trying to control the position but Buhovsky postures up.

Buhovsky drops back, looking for a kneebar! Bellic looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Bellic looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Bellic!

Buhovsky is pushing Bellic's head away, looking to escape. Bellic manages to hold on to the position though.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
You can see the frustration on Buhovsky's face as Bellic controls the position.
Jora Buhovsky has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

David Bellic showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bellic, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
