Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kendrick Alexander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Hernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Summer Carpenter and Darius Henderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alexander misses with a takedown

and Hernandez moves into the clinch.
Hernandez gets underhooks to prevent Alexander's takedown attempt.
Alexander tries to pull guard but Hernandez forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kendrick Alexander. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Hernandez has hold of one of Alexander's legs. Alexander is fighting the takedown attempt but Hernandez gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Alexander wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Hernandez is now in half guard.
Hernandez takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Ray Hernandez.
Hernandez fails to land with a series of punches.
A head kick misses from Hernandez.

Hernandez changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Alexander looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
You can see the frustration on Alexander's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
A lull in the action here.
Alexander is trying to control Hernandez's posture but Hernandez avoids it.

Hernandez wants to lay and pray for a moment but Alexander keeps working.
Hernandez tries to stand but Alexander is controlling his head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hernandez creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Alexander sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Hernandez wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Alexander, who protects the arm well.
Alexander can't do much from the bottom here.
Alexander is trying to get back to half guard.

Alexander prevents Hernandez from moving into mount.
Alexander is looking to reverse the position.
Hernandez is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Alexander will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Alexander gets caught flat footed, as Hernandez shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Hernandez wants to get up but he can't break Alexander's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Hernandez trying to control the position from guard on top but Alexander is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Ray Hernandez hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Alexander throws out a loose jab but Hernandez uses good head movement to avoid it.

Alexander tries for a takedown but Hernandez sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Hernandez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Alexander is fending him off so far but Hernandez persists. Nope, Alexander circles away and we're back to standing.
