Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thanh Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nevel Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Edson Gomes and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Silva to the mat! Silva manages to get full guard.
Davis advances position into side control!
Silva is not content to let Davis control the position.
Davis misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Davis wants to lay and pray for a moment but Silva keeps working.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Silva can do anything to dispel that myth.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Davis throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Silva manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Davis on his heels. He'll look to pass Davis's guard now, I'm sure.

Davis drops back, looking for a kneebar! Silva looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Silva looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Silva!

Silva goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Davis has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Silva but great work by Davis.

Nevel Silva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Silva closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Davis wants to get back to his feet.
Davis is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Silva postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Davis to stand up.
Silva feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Silva is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Davis is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Silva wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Davis, who protects the arm well.
Davis wants to get back to his feet.

Nevel Silva comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Silva has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
