Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jerry Moore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darnell Rawlins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jerry Moore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Darnell Rawlins!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Ben Hemmingworth and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rawlins gets a clinch.
Moore pressing his opponent against the cage.
Moore fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Rawlins manages to break the clinch.

Rawlins scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Rawlins in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Rawlins lands a few punches from side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The ground and pound from Rawlins seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Rawlins stands up and beckons Moore to his feet.
Moore really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Rawlins throws a shot to the body.
Moore stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Rawlins.

Rawlins closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rawlins lands in his opponent's guard.
Rawlins controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Rawlins gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Rawlins.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Moore tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Rawlins trying to control but Moore is having none of it.
Moore in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.

Rawlins trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Rawlins has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Rawlins stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

Rawlins misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Rawlins shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Rawlins was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Rawlins gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Rawlins gets the takedown into side control.
Moore is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Moore prevents Rawlins from improving position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rawlins moves into the clinch.

Rawlins works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Moore wants to stand up but Rawlins is controlling him.
Rawlins trying to control the position from guard on top but Moore is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Rawlins stands and steps away. Moore gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Moore dodges the punch combination from Rawlins.

Rawlins is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Moore's half guard.

Rawlins is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Moore sees it coming and defends easily.
Rawlins tries to stand and escape but Moore actually recovers to full guard.
Moore keeping moving, preventing Rawlins from controlling successfully.

Rawlins won't allow Moore to get back to his feet.
Rawlins engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Rawlins throws an elbow that misses. Moore uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Rawlins's guard. Nice move by Moore!

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Darnell Rawlins wasn't active enough on the ground.

Rawlins scores with a takedown into Moore's guard.

Rawlins stands up from Moore's guard - Rawlins perhaps looking for a knockout.

Rawlins bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Moore struggling a bit here.

Rawlins stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Rawlins shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Rawlins showed some decent athleticism there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rawlins trying to control the action but Moore is working from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Rawlins is looking for a kimura but Moore is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Rawlins to get the leverage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Darnell Rawlins showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



Rawlins closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rawlins lands in his opponent's guard.

Rawlins tries to free his leg and advance position but Moore is retaining full guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Rawlins cracks Moore with a solid left hand.

Rawlins stands up from Moore's guard - Rawlins perhaps looking for a knockout.
Rawlins has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Rawlins tries a head kick but it misses.
Rawlins throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Moore on the side of the head.
A telegraphed right hand from Moore misses the target.

Rawlins has taken the fight to the clinch.

Rawlins turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Rawlins manages to end up in side control.

Rawlins stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Rawlins takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Moore gets caught napping as Rawlins dives in and scores a takedown. Moore manages to retain guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Moore is trying to control the position but Rawlins postures up.
Rawlins controlling from the top position.
Rawlins won't allow Moore to get back to his feet.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rawlins accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Rawlins tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Rawlins shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Rawlins was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Rawlins decides to stand up, so the ref orders Moore to his feet.

Rawlins is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Moore's half guard.
Rawlins thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Darnell Rawlins has got the better of the ground game so far.
Moore is staying active underneath Rawlins, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Moore is controlling Rawlins's trapped leg to prevent Rawlins from advancing to side control.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Darnell Rawlins hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Moore moves into the clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Rawlins has hold of one of Moore's legs. Moore is fighting the takedown attempt but Rawlins gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Rawlins wants to control from the top but Moore keeps moving.

And that's the end of the fight!
Darnell Rawlins comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Rawlins has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
