Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Pettis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Anthony Pettis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jordan Thomas! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Sandra Marshall and Winston Alpacca.

Thomas moves out of range as Pettis strikes. Thomas tries to clinch up but Pettis circles away and keeps his distance. Pettis throws a head kick that misses and Thomas counters with a head kick. That will keep Pettis thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Thomas fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Thomas stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Thomas wants it to stay on the feet. Thomas misses with a takedown and Pettis counters with a series of strikes. Thomas will be more careful next time no doubt. Pettis throws a big shot that misses. Both fighters circling a little - Thomas finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Thomas shoots in and drives through. Pettis sprawls well. Anthony Pettis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jordan Thomas. Thomas shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Pettis sprawls well. Pettis wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Thomas gets slowly back to his feet.

Thomas shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Pettis manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pettis wants to sweep here but Thomas controlling him for the moment. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Pettis holds on and takes a little breather. Thomas controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Thomas tries to hold on but Pettis pushes him away. Thomas is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Thomas looks winded! Thomas is in a horrible position here. Pettis smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Pettis seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Thomas for as long as he can get away with. Thomas is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Pettis with good strikes from the mount here! Pettis controlling from mount.

The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Pettis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Thomas is in a horrible position here. Pettis smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Pettis sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Anthony Pettis dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

It looks like Jordan Thomas has been cut. Sloppy strikes from Pettis. Those never looked like landing. Thomas fails with the takedown and Pettis counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Thomas is still on wobbly legs! Can Pettis finish him? Thomas lands a nice looking kick to the body. Pettis takes a step back to recover. Pettis throws a head kick but Thomas moves out of range.
Thomas wants to clinch. Thomas with a poor takedown and Pettis counters with a flying knee. Nice. Jordan Thomas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pettis pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Thomas shoots and misses and Pettis counters with a flying knee that drops Thomas! Pettis dives in and finishes the fight with a flurry of strikes from the mount!
