Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Erik Tarvainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Nixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anthony Nixon will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nixon lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Tarvainen walks into a left hand.
Nixon just misses with a punch to the body.

Tarvainen forces Nixon back against the cage and clinches.
Nixon wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Nice body punch from Tarvainen - that landed with a thud.
Tarvainen is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Nixon is defending well for now.
Tarvainen's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Tarvainen breaks the clinch.
Nixon connects with a looping right hand.
Nixon lands a glancing blow to the side of Tarvainen's head.
Nixon looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nixon fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Jab, jab by Nixon - just one landing.
Tarvainen looks up at the clock. Bad move! Nixon lands a right hand from hell, dropping Tarvainen. Nixon pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Anthony Nixon!
In defeat, Erik Tarvainen stepped up to the mic, saying 'Damn, this is' t what i was aiming for.. F***K!'.
