Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Shane Thomas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Erick Silva!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Dirk Anderson and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas shoots in but Silva avoids the takedown attempt easily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Silva.
Silva changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Thomas looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Silva has knee on belly momentarily but Thomas bucks him off and regains half guard.
Thomas is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Thomas shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Silva as he jumps to the side.

Silva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Thomas tries to avoid it but Silva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Thomas to the ground. Thomas escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Silva takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Silva has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Thomas.
