Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jose Bautista Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyoji Horiguchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Torres comes to the cage accompanied by How I Could Just Kill A Man - Cypress Hill. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jose Bautista Torres! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kyoji Horiguchi! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yuuki Gou and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horiguchi jabbing away but nothing is landing. Torres scores with a nice strike. We've been informed that Horiguchi has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Torres feints and then cracks Horiguchi's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Horiguchi down. Horiguchi checks the leg kick. We've been hearing reports that Torres has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Horiguchi connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Torres momentarily.
Horiguchi throws a shot from downtown. Torres moves away and avoids it. A low kick from Horiguchi is predictable there and Torres counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Torres postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Torres has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Torres engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Horiguchi can't keep his opponent in guard - Torres advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Torres throwing shots but Horiguchi is blocking nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Torres thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Horiguchi's head. Torres trying to control the action but Horiguchi is working from the bottom. Torres is looking to advance position but Horiguchi won't allow it. Torres missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Horiguchi is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Torres has latched onto it... Big trouble! Torres pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Horiguchi is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Torres!
