Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joseph Yakovitz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Azamat Bagov! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Anthony Taglia and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yakovitz bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Bagov's head. Nice uppercut lands for Yakovitz. That snapped Bagov's head back.
Yakovitz fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Bagov on the side of the head. Yakovitz lands a right hook to the body.
Yakovitz misses with a straight left. Yakovitz throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bagov stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Yakovitz bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Bagov's head backwards. Yakovitz connects with the punch. A nice combination there by Yakovitz.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yakovitz lands with a straight right. Bagov didn't see that one coming. Yakovitz tests Bagov's chin there with a solid looking shot. Yakovitz takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Jab by Yakovitz. Yakovitz lands a slapping body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yakovitz misses the shot to the body. A jab lands there for Yakovitz. Yakovitz cracks Bagov with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Yakovitz scores with a decent looking hook. Bagov uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Yakovitz. Bagov takes one to the side of the head.

Yakovitz tests Bagov's chin there with a solid looking shot. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Yakovitz, as that shot connected.
Yakovitz smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Yakovitz dips to his left and cracks Bagov with an uppercut!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yakovitz lands with a hook. Bagov tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Yakovitz fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Bagov takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Yakovitz throws a hook to the side of Bagov's head but Bagov sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Yakovitz is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Bagov takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Good shot there by Yakovitz. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

It looks like Yakovitz has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Yakovitz scores with a sloppy right hand. Bagov should have avoided that one. An inside leg kick lands from Yakovitz. Yakovitz looks to land a right hand but Bagov moved out of range. Bagov uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Yakovitz. That's one minute gone in the round. Yakovitz ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Bagov is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Yakovitz scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bagov doesn't seem bothered though. Bagov gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Yakovitz. Yakovitz lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yakovitz clobbers Bagov with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Yakovitz lands a really nice looking cross but Bagov seems unphased.
Yakovitz throws a hook but Bagov avoids it easily. Bagov ducks under a wild hook from Yakovitz. Yakovitz jabbing away but nothing is landing. Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Bagov might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Yakovitz has got the better of the exchanges. Yakovitz connects with a body shot that sends Bagov's belly button to the back. Bagov uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Yakovitz.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Yakovitz.
Bagov gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Yakovitz digs a good body shot into Bagov's ribs. Yakovitz lands a two punch combo.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lazy left from Yakovitz finds it's target. Yakovitz connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Yakovitz throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Bagov walks into a left hand. Yakovitz jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Bagov slips under a jab from Yakovitz. Yakovitz fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bagov manages to avoid it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bagov shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Yakovitz swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Bagov.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yakovitz throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. A jab from Yakovitz finds it's way through Bagov's defenses. Yakovitz throws a hook but Bagov blocks it. Yakovitz connects with a right hand. Bagov shakes it off. Yakovitz lands with an overhand left. Azamat Bagov has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Yakovitz scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
And that's the end of the fight! Joseph Yakovitz showed his dominance in that final round. Well Yakovitz has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
