And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Paul Nomak!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shirou Masuda and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A good leg kick by Nomak.
Nomak throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Owens.
Owens tries for a takedown but Nomak circles away easily
and Nomak makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Owens takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Nomak wants to land a leg kick but Owens is out of range.
Nomak leaves Owens with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Nomak must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Owens will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
