Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Warren Rosario (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tank Ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tank Ortiz has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Warren Rosario's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Warren Rosario! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tank Ortiz! The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, John Mangel and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rosario tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Rosario fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Ortiz sprawls well initially but Rosario persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Ortiz is trying to maintain the position but Rosario is very close to passing his half guard. Ortiz makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Ortiz. Ortiz wants to control the position but Rosario says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Ortiz is looking to control Rosario's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ortiz avoid being mounted? The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rosario wants to stand up but Ortiz is controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rosario missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Rosario wants to take a breather but Ortiz is having none of it. Ortiz controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Rosario stalling.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Warren Rosario. Ortiz gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Rosario to score an easy takedown into full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ortiz has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Rosario has passed into side control.
Ortiz is trying to get back to half guard. Rosario decides to stand up, so the ref orders Ortiz to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rosario goes for a double leg but Ortiz avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ortiz continues to drive forward. Ortiz is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Ortiz throws an elbow that misses.
Ortiz gets control of Rosario's arms and successfully pulls guard. Ortiz will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ortiz looking for a sweep. Not yet Ortiz, not yet. Rosario will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Rosario controlling from the top position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ortiz can do anything to dispel that myth. Ortiz is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Rosario trying to control the position from guard on top but Ortiz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We're going to have a standup here because Warren Rosario wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Ortiz gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Rosario to score an easy takedown into full guard. Ortiz will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Warren Rosario dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Rosario. Rosario throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Ortiz darts in looking for a takedown but Rosario gets double underhooks and turns Ortiz into the cage. Ortiz manages to break the clinch.
Ortiz gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Ortiz pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Tank Ortiz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rosario throws a nice head kick!
Ortiz throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Ortiz fails with a takedown attempt. Rosario tries to clinch but Ortiz moves out of range. Nice body kick from Ortiz.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rosario does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Ortiz forces Rosario back against the cage and clinches. Ortiz has had enough of the clinch but Rosario keeps him there for the moment. Rosario fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Ortiz tries to pull guard but Rosario won't allow it.
Warren Rosario has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tank Ortiz. Ortiz dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Rosario misses with the head strike.
Ortiz decides to pull guard. Ortiz can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rosario controls the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rosario stops Ortiz from standing up. Ortiz throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Rosario trying to control the position from guard on top but Ortiz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Warren Rosario has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Ortiz has closed the distance and engaged Rosario in a clinch.
Rosario lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Rosario is trying to pull guard but Ortiz has him pressed against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ortiz gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Ortiz is posturing up here but Rosario has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Ortiz tries to roll out but it's too tight and Ortiz has to tap! Slick submission there by Rosario!
