Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Prince Hurst (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sherif Soliman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Prince Hurst! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sherif Soliman! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Wagner Zegers and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Soliman. Soliman with a lazy takedown attempt and Hurst counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Soliman fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Prince Hurst has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sherif Soliman. The fight stays on the outside here - Hurst looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Good exchange - Hurst coming out on top. Hurst tries to clinch but Soliman moves away and Soliman counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Soliman. A frustrated look appears on Hurst's face as he tries to break the clinch. Hurst really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Soliman tries to circle away but Hurst has him pinned against the cage. Hurst breaks from the clinch.
Hurst closes the distance and clinches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hurst manages to break the clinch.
Soliman shoots in but no luck this time. Soliman throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. The fight stays on the outside here - Hurst looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Soliman tries to score with a low kick but Hurst moves his leg out of the way. Hurst fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Soliman avoids it really well and circles away. Soliman throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hurst tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Soliman is in Hurst's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Soliman drops back, looking for a kneebar! Hurst looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Hurst looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Hurst! Soliman is looking for a sweep. You can see the frustration on Soliman's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Hurst decides to stand back up. A lazy body kick from Soliman and Hurst counters with a big head kick but Soliman shrugs it off. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hurst stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hurst wants it to stay on the feet. Hurst has taken the fight to the clinch.
Hurst pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hurst is looking to clinch but Soliman is avoiding it.
Soliman shoots and misses and Hurst counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Hurst shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Soliman looks winded! Hurst got a little sloppy there for a moment and Soliman has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hurst has managed to get both his arms back between Soliman's legs - danger averted. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Soliman escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hurst gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Hurst preventing the sweep. Soliman looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Hurst passes into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Soliman is looking to regain half guard here but Hurst keeps moving and retains side control. Hurst is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Soliman has escaped the position, nice work there. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Soliman is not content to let Hurst control the position. A lull in the action here as Hurst stalls from top position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Prince Hurst dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Hurst tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Soliman swivels and escapes. Hurst throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Soliman looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hurst is fending him off so far but Soliman persists. Nope, Hurst circles away and we're back to standing. Hurst closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Soliman's guard. Hurst has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Hurst got a little sloppy there for a moment and Soliman has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hurst has managed to get both his arms back between Soliman's legs - danger averted. Soliman is looking for a triangle but Hurst pushes his legs off easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Soliman looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hurst looking to sit in guard and control but Soliman gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Soliman scoring with some ground and pound. Soliman throws a big elbow that misses. Hurst is looking to stand up but Soliman isn't so interested in that idea. Soliman seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Soliman landing with the ground and pound. Hurst will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Soliman working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Hurst's head. Hurst keeping moving, preventing Soliman from controlling successfully. Soliman postures up in Hurst's guard and throws a big left but Hurst blocks it. Soliman has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Soliman postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Hurst knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Soliman on the ground. Soliman trying to control the position from guard on top but Hurst is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Soliman is stalling in the full guard.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Sherif Soliman hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Soliman misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Soliman is breathing heavily. Soliman shoots in and bounces Hurst off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Soliman throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hurst works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Soliman drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Soliman seems to have locked his on tight now - Hurst screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Soliman, as he picks up the win!
