The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Shoupp.

Reyes gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Shoupp connects with a nice short shot to Reyes's temple.

Shoupp stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Reyes swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Reyes looking to hit a scissor sweep but Shoupp is one step ahead there.

Reyes has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Shoupp has passed into side control.

Shoupp decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Horrible takedown by Shoupp or perhaps it was just good defense by Reyes which made him look bad.

Shoupp takes the fight into the clinch.
Reyes has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Shoupp goes for a takedown attempt but Reyes pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Shoupp throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Shoupp avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Shoupp fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Reyes avoids it really well and circles away.
Reyes keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
