Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Ruane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dolphin Neck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Brandon Ruane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dolphin Neck! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Dirk Anderson and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Neck cracks Ruane with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Neck misses with a straight right. Ruane has a takedown stuffed. Ruane tries to clinch but Neck moves away and Neck counters by moving into the clinch. Neck managing to block the knees to the body from Ruane.
Ruane tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Neck just stands there and leans against the cage. Ruane blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Neck is trying to push Ruane away but Ruane has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Neck is trying to force a seperation but Ruane has the dominant position. Neck is working for takedown but Ruane is calmly controlling the position for now. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Ruane looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Neck wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Neck gets control of Ruane's arms and successfully pulls guard. Neck will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Neck has his feet on Ruane's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Brandon Ruane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ruane throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Ruane is trying hard to land a takedown here. Neck sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brandon Ruane. That's going to take a lot out of him. Neck clinches with his opponent.
Neck lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Ruane goes for a takedown attempt but Neck pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Ruane shoots in for a takedown but Neck shows good takedown defense. Ruane shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Neck as he avoids it easily. Ruane looks to clinch and Ruane takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Ruane is breathing heavily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Neck goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Ruane throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Neck circles away from the clinch attempt and Neck counters by clinching up. Neck pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Neck clinches with his opponent.

Dolphin Neck dominated that round. That's time! Ruane's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Neck, as that shot connected.
Ruane fails to land the takedown. Neck thows a body shot but no joy. Neck leaves Ruane with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Ruane shoots in for a double leg but Neck sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brandon Ruane. That's going to take a lot out of him. Neck throws a right hand that Ruane ducks under and follows up with a left that Ruane also avoids with ease. Neck scores with a jab. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ruane misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Neck rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ruane moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ruane closes the distance but Neck moves to the side and Neck holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Ruane drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Neck gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Neck. Neck cracks Ruane with a nice body shot. Still in the clinch, Neck scores with a nice short uppercut. Neck is trying to break free. Neck is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Ruane is defending well for now. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Neck displaying some good clinch control by pressing Ruane up against the cage. Dolphin Neck showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Ruane throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Neck's waist but Neck gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ruane off to one side. Ruane tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Neck scores with a shot to the body.
Neck lands a head shot. Ruane fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Ruane changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Neck tries to avoid it but Ruane manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Neck to the ground. Neck escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brandon Ruane. That's going to take a lot out of him. Neck connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Neck getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
It looks like Brandon Ruane has been cut. Both fighters are breathing heavily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Neck feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Ruane sprawling to the canvas! Ruane rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Neck finish him?!
Ruane is rocked! This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Ruane. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Ruane walks into a picture perfect straight right hand from Neck! He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!
