Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alfie Dinks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and kc jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are William Gold, Sam Margolis and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
jones looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dinks is fending him off so far but jones persists. Nope, Dinks circles away and we're back to standing.
jones throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dinks's waist but Dinks gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing jones off to one side.
jones pushes Dinks up against the cage in a clinch.
Dinks breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Dinks moves into the clinch successfully.

Dinks misses with a few strikes there.

Dinks feints and as jones raises his hands in defense, Dinks changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Dinks fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

That's time! Dinks's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Dinks throws a nice looking combination but jones bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Dinks ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Dinks no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dinks connects with a nice short shot to jones's temple.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dinks feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
